What do you think? …. For years, business owners have been focusing heavily on digital everything when it comes to marketing. Even though print media like business cards, flyers, door hangers, mailers, etc. had been on a big decline for the past few years, they are making a comeback! Why you ask?
1) It’s tangible. Most people like something they can touch, feel, and pick up to look at whenever they are ready to check you out. With everything digital, it’s easier for most people to lose their focus because typically they are being bombarded with creatives and videos from everyone else.
2) Print ads are more trusted than online. Most would trust a brick and mortar storefront more easily than an online store at first glance. It’s a human thing. We trust what we can see right in front of us.
3) Print media is still the best choice for showing off designs. It makes it easier to impact people and get more of your message across.
4) Cost per acquisition can also be lower than with digital marketing. Of course, this all depends, but generally it is cheap to print a big batch of flyers and distribute directly to the right audience than to hope you get noticed online.
It’s not that digital is dying, not even close, but don’t for a second think that a good print media campaign can’t bring you a huge return on your investment when done right. They go hand in hand, but don’t just brush off print.
